Museum Vlaardingen

In the Vlaardingen Museum you will experience 5000 years of life in the delta of the rivers de Rijn and de Maas, and let you meet the lives of Vlaardingers and other delta residents. You see how they survive in the delta, with the water that gives and takes.

The prehistoric ‘Krabbeplasman’, the Immigrant who was buried in a tree trunk and Count Dirk III from the Middle Ages, saver Abraham van der Linden and his wife Agneta van Reeuwijk from the 18th century, the sailor Jan Pet; All of them tell their story in the museum and hence the 5000-year story in the delta.
