Medicine in action with Augmented Reality
AR ponatinib is an Augmented Reality app designed for Incyte (formerly known as Ariad Pharmaceuticals). It is free to use for smartphones & tablets that use iOS or Android devices as operating system.
This Augmented Reality app is intended for use by health care professionals to visualise and explain the interaction between ponatinib and the bcr-abl protein. The app explains in a scientific manner how ponatinib works with the help of live 3D footage.
The booth shows the Augmented Reality app (AR ponatinib). Augmented Reality means adding digital information to the actual physical environment. Visitors see, in this case, the AR ponatinib app in all its 3D glory.
How does this AR exhibition work?
In the column an iPad is incorporated containing the AR ponatinib app. The app detects and scans a so called “marker” image through the lens of the iPad. This marker is positioned on a turntable. The app translates the marker into a real 3D model. The iPad is also linked to a 74-inch monitor mirroring the iPad view.
How to experience this app?
1. Download the app for iOS/Apple or Android
2. Download the image/marker in PDF;
3. Start the app and point towards the image marker.
4. Press the “shooter” button to see ponatinib in action.
